Phoenix, Arizona (March 2, 2016) - Courtney Force and the Traxxas team qualified in the No. 2 position for the second year in-a-row at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. She added a total of five bonus points to her bank by being quickest of Q1 and second-quickest of Q3.

Force matched up with Terry Haddock for the first time in her career. He was her 31st different opponent in Funny Car. She got the win over Haddock and went on to dismiss Tommy Johnson Jr before matching up with one of the toughest car/driver combinations in the field, John Force and his Peak Camaro. She smoked the tires right off the line and her dad went on to the final round.
