Phoenix, Arizona (March 2, 2016) - Brittany Force and her Monster Energy team qualified No. 5 at Phoenix with a 3.769 ET at 319.14 mph. On race day, she dismissed Shawn Langdon with a 3.723 second run that was second-quickest of first round.
In the quarter-finals Force got the win next to Terry McMillen and went on to dismiss points leader Doug Kalitta in the semis. She raced to her seventh career final round and second final at Phoenix.
Force lost in the final by .001 of a second. It was only the second time in history two females have matched up in a final round. Force moved to No. 3 in the point standings.
