The successful test weekend has the TEKNO Autorsports driver feeling comfortable behind the wheel of the Darrell Lea STIX/ Lucas Oil Holden Commodore ahead of the all-important season opener, the Clipsal 500.
“I’m feeling really good. I’ve done a lot of racing already and the car feels fantastic,” Van Gisbergen said.
“We tried little tweaks all day yesterday and got a really good feel for the car. The team is really happy with the changes.”
Van Gisbergen finished second in 2014, with eight wins through the year, and sees himself as a title contender again this year.
The season starts in two weeks’ time at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, South Australia from Thursday, 26 February – Sunday, 1 March.
