Adam Clarke claims Lucas Oil Australian Speedcar Championship

Not even several rain delays could stand in the way of Adam Clarke claiming his fourth Lucas Oil Australian Speedcar Championship at Warrnambool’s Sungold Stadium on Saturday night.

After starting the 40 lap feature from pole position, Clarke denied challenges from hard chargers Nathan Smee and Americans Tyler Thomas and Alex Bright to seal back-to-back championships.

The title race had a high attrition rate, with accidents ending the night early for Troy Jenkins, Todd Waddell, Nicholas Rowe, Domain Ramsay, Scott Wilson, Lee Redmond, Neville Lance, Anthony Chaffey and Gabe Good.

Mark Brown was awarded the hard charger prize after racing his way from the B-Main all the way to fifth, while Travis Mills took the best-presented award.
