Starting from pole, Veal led the 12-lap dash from start to finish to claim his fifth consecutive event win in the #35 SWI Engineering/Lucas Oil Maxim.
“We’re rolling really well now. Everything change we make to the car is positive, so hopefully it’s only upwards from here,” Veal said.
“Our first two qualifying races weren’t too crash hot but the track dried out a bit, which played in our favour.”
Veal will return to Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway on Saturday 22 November chasing his sixth win of the season, knowing the competition will be out to end his streak.
“There’s been a target on my back for a few weeks now. We’re just taking it one race at a time like we always do,” he said.
“It will be good to get back to Valvoline Raceway and stir them up again. I just need to concentrate on keeping my nose clean.”
