Leading US speedway video provider, T2 Digital will show all three nights of the Classic on its popular streaming and on-demand video platform, The Cushion.

Sungold Stadium General Manager, David Mills said he was delighted with the new partnership with T2 Digital and excited to see Australia’s marquee event open up to a global audience.

“The Lucas Oil Classic is not only Australia’s premier speedway event, but one of the world’s great Sprintcar races and we are delighted to now be able to deliver live coverage across the globe,” Mills said.

“The Classic attracts sellout crowds each night with fans from all over Australia and overseas, but we know not everyone can attend and our new live streaming package means those fans who can’t be here won’t miss out.”

T2 Digital CEO, Ian Marvuglio said streaming Australia’s most prestigious speedway race is a major coup for motor sport fans around the world.

“We are extremely excited to broadcast live coverage from the Lucas Oil Classic, one of the world’s premier Sprintcar events,” Marvuglio said.

“Everyone involved has been working very hard to put some cool features in play for this broadcast, and we think our viewers will really enjoy it.”

The Lucas Oil Classic attracts the biggest Sprintcar field in the world, with more than 100 of Australia and America’s top racers already entered, and up to 120 cars expected.

Included in this year’s star studded line up is Australian stars Brooke Tatnell, Max Dumesny, Ian and Kerry Madsen, Jamie Veal and James McFadden, and Americans Jac and Sheldon Haudenschild, Brad Sweet, Randy Hannagan and reigning Classic champion Tim Kaeding,

As well as being broadcast live, the programs will be available in The Cushion’s all-new instant archive, enabling the event to be viewed on-demand.

“Regardless of the timezone, watching the Classic couldn’t be easier with our instant archive allowing viewers to start, pause and play coverage whenever they like,” T2 Digital Chief Technology Officer, Brian Harmdierks said.

“The instant archive feature has taken some time to develop, and the Classic is perfect for its use – our fans will love it.”

Access to the live stream is available at US$24.50 for the preliminary nights, and US$28.50 for the final, or just US$69.99 for a three-day pass. Visit www.thecushion.com for more information.
