After claiming pole in the Lucas Oil Dash, Lack lead for the entire A-main despite a challenge from David Murcott and Luke Oldfield in the final three laps.

The GW Racing driver said the soaring temperatures made for a demanding night of racing at the tight Brisbane circuit.

“It was a pretty tough race with strong contenders and a slick track. Mentally it was quite challenging running the high line, with no room for error.” Lack said.

“I just made sure I got off to a good start and tried to put as many lapped cars between me and the guys behind.

“There was really only one spot to pass, so there was plenty of slide jobs coming out of turn three.”

Lack qualified eight fastest in the #Q58 Lucas Oil/ GW Racing Maxim, before going on to move from sixth to third in the opening heat, and sixth to second in the next. 

He was the fourth highest in points heading into the Lucas Oil Dash and drew starting position one before going on to claim pole for the feature. 

“The felt awesome all night. My car owners Graham and Wendy Erhart have provided me with a great car, so I’m glad I could reward them and Lucas Oil with a strong start to the season,” Lack said.

Lack will return to Archerfield Speedway on Saturday, 29 November to contest round five of the track championship.
