Mills was forced to work for the win with Farrell and Jordan challenging him several times through the feature, which ran flag-to-flag.

The red lights were brought on after the chequered flag waved for Braeden Palmer, who rolled gently after clipping Keith Astrella.

Farrell claimed the opening heat race following a good battle with Jordan, while rookie Jason Donnelly placed third.

Jordan fought back in the second heat to take the win over Farrell after a spin from Matt Papa saw a yellow light stoppage, with Palmer and Donnelly also involved.

Mills and Palmer battled it out in an exciting, elbows-up heat three before Palmer spun. Rookie Joe Lostitch moved up to second while Lucas Oil driver Andy Pearce was forced to retire with a broken steering arm.

Darren Power’s night was over before it begun after blowing up his motor in hot laps. Mike Griffiths was also sidelined for the night because of mechanical issues.

The second round of the Aussie Jay’s Campers Southern Speedcar Tour will take place at Hamilton’s Western Speedway.
