Australian Top Fuel driver, Richie Crampton and his partner Stephanie Laski welcomed their first child into the world Tuesday, 20 May.
Emma Kathleen Crampton, 4 kilograms, was born at 3:59 PM (Indianapolis time) at IU Health North Hospital. Both baby and mother are doing well.
"Well, we're now parents!" Crampton said. "Everyone is doing great. It's a new chapter in our lives, and Stephanie and I are excited to be parents."
Crampton, 33, is a rookie in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series and drives the GEICO/Lucas Oil Top Fuel dragster for Morgan Lucas Racing.
A native of Adelaide, Crampton moved to the United States 10 years ago to pursue his dream of racing on the world’s biggest drag racing stage.
A member of MLR for eight years, Crampton was granted the opportunity to drive the team’s car when team owner Morgan Lucas, who also became a new parent with wife Katie recently, decided to step out of the cockpit to concentrate on the family’s Lucas Oil business.
